TURKISH APRICOTS

The apricot is a native of eastern Anatolia, with the Malatya province virtually identified with it, producing not only the most but also the finest apricots. Only a fraction of Turkey's apricot crop is marketed fresh, the rest being dried for the domestic and export market.
