TURKISH CARPETS OF CAUCASIA

Throughout the Caucasus the Turkish Knot is used. With very few exceptions, they are made from wool. There are no Caucasian carpets surviving earlier then 1800's. They generally have well defined and characteristic geometrical patterns expressed in deep colors, with stylish influences from Anatolian and Turkmenistan carpets.
