14th BOSTON TURKISH FESTIVAL

Since its inception in 1996, this unique festival lasts more than a month and it is
one of the largest of its kind in the U.S. The Festival theme, “Colors of Anatolia”,
reflects the diversity and richness of Turkish culture, ranging from art exhibits,
workshops, gastronomic presentations and concerts to Turkish cinema. The festival
program also includes screenings of the Boston Turkish Festival International
Documentary and Short Film Competition.

The theme for TurkFest 2009, Cultural Reflections of Nature, stems from an ancient western Anatolian philosophy that describes earth, air, water, and fire as the four basic elements of nature. Festival attractions will explore the historical, social, and cultural connection between humanity and nature to demonstrate how the natural elements shape people's lives in and around Turkey.

OTTAWA TURKISH FESTIVAL

This year again the Ottawa Police will be hosting the Festival Opening Ceremonies on Friday, July 24, 2009 at 3 p.m. The Festival will be open to the general public free of charge from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday July 25, 2009 and Sunday July 26, 2009 in the heart of Ottawa at Confederation Park. 14th ANNUAL TURKISH ART and FOLK FESTIVAL

28th ANNUAL TURKISH DAY PARADE AND FESTIVAL

The 28th annual Turkish Day Parade will take place in New York on May 23.The parade is organized by the Federation of Turkish American Associations (FTAA).
FTAA issued a statement and said the parade will start in Madison Avenue and end in Dag Hammerskjold Park.
