Volkan Şenozan

Volkan Şenozan was born in Ankara in 1984. He studied Economics in Izmir in 2003-2008. In 2007, he developed his interest in coding, which eventually lead him to an enthusiasm towards new media arts. He established a web based independent music broadcasting site and continues to lead this collaborative project. Şenozan′s artwork utilizes disturbing images of taboo subjects. He highlights disruptive phenomena in a hidden yet brave and generous style. His work emphasizes not only a criticism of collapsed world through the presentation of brainwashing "facts" but also proclaims their impact from regressive angle. The predominant medium (technique) he uses is that of mental and visual games such as hidden links that can be bonded in a meaningful way. Şenozan currently lives and works in Istanbul.
