Nevin Aladağ

Nevin Aladağ was born in Van in 1972 and now lives in Berlin. She often focuses on foreignness and self-determination as they are experienced by young people of Turkish origin in Germany today. In her videos and photographs such as the video, “The Tezcan Family” (2001), the photo series, “Freeze” (2003), “Jump” (2004) and “Voice Over” (2006), Aladağ works in a poetic documentary style, where nothing is "told" but a great deal is "shown."
