Nizam Güner was born in Malatya in 1941. In 1961, he went to Grenoble in France to study geology. Besides studying chemistry, he concentrated on making sculpture and devoted himself to sculpture full time. Güner has sculpted using bronze. He has held over 50 solo exhibitions in Europe and the US., and received various awards for his works. Güner currently continues to live and work in France.
