Mustafa Altıntaş was born in Akşehir in 1946. He began his art education at Gazi Educational Institution, Teacher Training College in Ankara. In 1970, he went to Paris with a French scholarship, and entered a studio at the Cite Internationale des Arts. He entered the “E.N.S.B.A” Academy of Fine Arts in Paris, and studied painting at the studios of Gustave Singier and Jean Bertholle. Between 1977 and 1980, Altıntaş continued his master′s degree in the Faculty of Cinematic Arts at Sorbonne University, and studied with Jean Mitry, Eric Rohmer and Jean Rouch. Some of Altıntaş’s documentary and experimental films were shown at international festivals. Since 1970, his highly disciplined plastic art works have been displayed at international biennials and festivals and at numerous solo and group exhibitions in France and other European countries. His paintings can be seen in many private and public collections in France, the United States, Switzerland, Finland and Turkey. Currently, Altıntaş continues his work in Paris, Istanbul and Bodrum.
