Halim Çeliker

Halim Çeliker was born in Balıkesir in 1961. He graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University in 1985. In 1986 he attended Salzburg Summer Academy in Austria and painted with Prof. Reimund Girke. In the following year, Çeliker started working as a research assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Anadolu University. In 1992 he completed his doctoral degree, proficiency in Art, at Mimar Sinan University. He began working as a tutor at the Atatürk Faculty of Education of Marmara University in 1997. Çeliker has held 24 solo exhibitions and participated in over 70 group exhibitions in Turkey. He has also attended many painting competitions and received 6 awards. His works can be seen in many private collections and museum collections in Turkey and abroad. He currently teaches at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Marmara University in Istanbul.
