Raziye Kubat was born in Malatya in 1968. She graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University. She also studied at an engraving atelier. Since 1990, she has had many solo exhibitions, and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Kubat has exhibited her works "Visual Books" for the first time in 1996 at "The Other – HABITAT II" event. With her work ‘Imagining the Book’, she was invited twice to the Biennial, which was organized by the Alexandria Library (2002 and 2005). Her last solo exhibition was “Kimlerdensiniz” (Of Whom You Are?), which was held at the Gallery Kent in 2011. Currently, Kubat continues her work in Istanbul.
