Hera Büyüktaşçıyan was born in Istanbul in 1984. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 2006. In 2007, she held her first solo exhibition "The Other" at PIST /// 7-24 in Istanbul. Since then, she has held several solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Büyüktaşçıyan has received many awards for her work. In 2013, she was nominated for the Turkish finalist of Henkel Art Award 2013. Büyüktaşçıyan currently lives and works in Istanbul.
