M.Kutluhan Perker was born in Istanbul in 1972. After finishing at Halide Edip Adıvar High School, he graduated from the Department of Illustration Film in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Ankara University. He pursued his study at Wagner College in New York. He has illustrated in many magazines including Gırgır, Fırt, Dıgıl, Avni, Hıbır, Leman, Öküz, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, Aktüel, and He and She; and newspapers such as Milliyet, Radikal, Star and Yeni Binyıl. Perker also worked as a publication director for children’s magazine like Rock Kazanı and Pilot, which were published by the 1 Numara Publications. He collected his works and published as books “Türkan Şoray Dudağı” (1999) and “Masal Mafya” (2000).

In New York, his work has appeared in many magazines including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Heavy Metal, MAD, The Progressive, and The New Yorker. His comics and illustrations have been recognized with awards by the Society of Illustrators and Print Magazine.  Perker is a member of Society of Illustrators. Currently, he lives and works in New York.
