Nermin Er was born in Istanbul in 1972. She graduated from the Department of Sculpture at Mimar Sinan University in 1995. Using the technique of paper cutting, Er depicts daily life experiences, human nature and urban life in her works. She has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. She had her first solo exhibition (2004), second solo exhibition (2009) and third solo exhibition (2011) at the Gallery Nev in Istanbul. Since then she has been regularly having solo exhibitions at Gallery Nev-Istanbul (2004, 2009, 2011). In 2015 she held her forth solo exhibition "Meanwhile, Elsewhere…" at Gallery Nev in Istanbul. Er also works as a character developer at an animation studio. She currently continues to live and work in Istanbul.
