Cengiz Gücük

Cengiz Gücük was born in Istanbul in 1942. He graduated from the Department of Decorative Painting in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Marmara University in 1965. Between 1965 and 1967 he worked at Ulm Cathedral of Cologne as a restorer. In 1971 he received an award of “young painters” in State Baden Württemberg. In 1972 he studied under the Austrian painter, Prof. Ernst Fuchs who was the founder of “Fantastic Realism”. Gücük worked in Germany as a show window decorator between 1970 and 1974.  From 1974 to 2001 besides his painting works, he worked at several companies such as Atalar, KİP and İGS as a decorator.
