Associate Prof. Cebrail Ötgün

Associate Prof. Cebrail Ötgün was born in Iğdır in 1962. He finished primary and middle school in Iğdır. In 1987, he graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University. He completed master’s degree at Hacettepe University in 1990, and doctoral degree, proficiency in arts at Marmara University in 1995. He taught in the Faculty of Fine Art, the Painting Department of İnönü University (1998-1995) and Mersin University (1995-2006). In 1993, he founded the “Hangar Sanatsal Oluşum” with 6 artist friends and published “Hangar Sanat Defteri”. As of today, Ötgün teaches at the Faculty of Fine Arts, the Painting Department of Gazi University. He has had 13 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey. He has also participated in 6 international group exhibitions, such as 11th Triennial in India, 23th Alexandria Biennial, and first Buca International Art Meeting. Ötgün has received 6 awards.
