Süreyya Alper

Süreyya Alper was born in Istanbul in 1967. She graduated from the Department of Public Relations at Anadolu University. She learned illumination art (Tezhip) from Ulker Erke, Gülbün Mesara, İlhan Gökşen, and Jale Yavuz in the Prof. Dr. A. Süheyl Ünver workshop (Nakışhane) in the Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine at Istanbul University. Alper obtained her professional license in illumination art in 1995. She has participated in more than 40 group exhibitions in Turkey. Currently, Alper teaches as an assistant instructor at the Cerrahpaşa workshop in Istanbul.
