Serra Güney Özkan

Serra Güney Özkan graduated from the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts Book Binding and Restoration in the Faculty of Fine Art at Mimar Sinan University. She completed her master’s degree at her alma mater. Özkan also studied theory and application to restore Western Bookbinding in the British Library and the Malta Center for Restoration Valetta. In 2005, she started teaching bookbindery and restoration work at the Caferağa Medrese Turkish Culture Service Foundation. Özkan has also worked at her workshop in Istanbul since 2003.
