Füsun Onomay was born in Izmir in 1957. She graduated from the Department of Architecture at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts. In 2003, she learned marbling art from Ayla Makas at the Caferağa Medresesi Culture Center. Between 2004 and 2007, Onomay worked in marbling with Gülden Gürdamar, who was a student of the great masters Fuat Başar and Sadrettin Özcim at the İsmek Yavuz Selim. Between 2007 and 2009, Onomay continued working marbling with Gülden Güldamari at the Mavera Art Workshop. In 2010, Onomay founded the workshop “Minebru” with four friends. She has participated in many group exhibitions and competitions in Turkey. Currently, Onomay continues to work at the workshop in Istanbul.
