Mustafa Üstünçelik was born in Zile in 1927 and finished primary school. Besides working in a farm, he has been making çarık, traditional shoes  for a long time. Traditional shoes decorated with mirror, Aynalı çarık, are used for folk dances and sold for tourists. He continues to make çarık shoes in Zile.
