Mustafa Güngör

Mustafa Güngör was born in Ankara, Beypazarı in 1936. He started making alem (finial: top section of minaret) as an apprentice in his childhood. In a short time, he became a master craftsman. Güngör generally covers minarets with coppers and makes alem for mosques. He shapes and designs alems hammering copper. As of today, he is a respectable master artisan and continues his work nearby the Ankara Castle.
