Nurten Gümüş

Nurten Gümüş was born in Alanya in 1958. She finished primary education in 1973. She learned how to weave silk textiles from her parents at the age of seven. Since then, Gümüş has woven silk textiles in Alanya. She has participated in several workshops and exhibitions. Currently, Gümüş continues to weave at her home and teaches silk weaving at the Alanya Culture Center.
