Fatma Ayran

Fatma Ayran is a sedefkar (mother of pearl artisan). Between 2006 and 2008, she received her training from the artisan Ahmet Sezen and worked on numerous restoration projects as a part of the firm Hazerantik Restorasyon. In 2010, Ayran opened her own workshop in Kucukayasofya, Istanbul. She has had several exhibitions at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce in 2008, 2009, and 2010, and at the Uskudar Katibim Handicrafts in 2009 and 2010. Currently, Ayran continues to work at her workshop.
