Ahmet Demir

Ahmet Demir was born in Istanbul, Kağıthane in 1964. He finished Sarıyer Vocational Religious High School in 1981. In 1980, he started wrestling and won numerous championships in Turkey and abroad for 16 years. After retiring from wrestling in 1996, Demir had an interest in calligraphy. In 1996, he began learning calligraphy from master artist Hafiz Yusuf Sezer, and received a professional license from Sezer in 2002. Demir currently continues his work at home.
