Ayça Damgacı was born in Istanbul in 1973. She is a theater and film actress. She performed in the Şahika Tekand Oyunculuk ve Sanat Stüdiyosu. After graduating from the Theatre Department at Istanbul University, she joined the Tiyatro Oyunevi.

In 2001, Damgacı met film director Ravin Asaf and was offered to perform in his film. Through her experiences, she wrote the film scenario "Gitmek: My Marlon and Brando." The film, which was shot by Hüseyin Karabey, was screened in the Rotterdam Film Festival in 2008. Damghacı received many awards with this film. She is also known for other films such as "Yozgat Blues" (2013) and "Aramizda Kalsin" (2013). Besides being an actress, Damgacı is a musician and performs as a soloist with the group Göçebe Şarkılar.
