Türker Çolak was born in Istanbul in 1986. Since 2005, he has been teaching at the Gürken Percussion Workshop. He has continued to studying at the Percussion Department of Istanbul University State Conservatory. He has performed in many concerts and festivals with prominent artists such as Engin Gürkey Nabız, Hakan Başar, Güç Başar Gülle, and groups and orchestras including Gürkey Percussion, Istanbul Percussion Ensemble, Mızrabın Nefesi group, Yansımalar, İncesaz, Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, Istanbul University State Conservatory Symphony Orchestra in Turkey and abroad. Çolak performed F. J. Haydn′s Children′s Symphony as a soloist with Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra. In 2008, Çolak joined the Turkey tour of Gipsy Heritage and performed percussion. In the following year, he gave a concert "Dünya Perküsyon ve Ritmleri ile Tek Bir Nabız" with Engin Gürkey Nabız group and famous artists at the İşsanat Concert Hall. In 2010, Çolak performed with Volkan Hürsever for Güç Başar Gülle′s album "İlk Renk." Çolak currently works with Ziynet Salı, Su Soley and Evrim Özkaynak.
