Pervin Çakar was born Mardin in 1981. She studied singing with Oylun Erday at Gazi University. She pursued her music study in Italy: she studied at Accademia D’art lirica in Ancora; and worked with William Matteuzzi, Carmen Gonzalez, and Sergio Bertocchi at Accademia Musicale Umbria in Perugia; and with Michela Sburlati at F. Morlacchi Conservatory. In 2008, Çakar graduated from F. Morlacchi State Conservatory with excellent marks in Perugia. She attended the master classes of Luciana Serra, Lella Cuberli, Montserrat Caballé, Mietta Sighele, Veriano Lucchetti, Tiziana Fabbricini and Lella Cuberli.

Çakar made her stage debut at the Eskişehir International Music Festival, singing the soprano solo in Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana”. She performed Nerea in Händel’s “Demdamia” with the Ankara State Opera. In Italy, she debuted as Sophie in Massenet’s “Werther” at the Milano Teatro Rosetum in 2006. It was followed by appearances as Madame Herz in “Der Schauspieldirektor” in Perugia and Citta di Castello. In 2007, she performed as Marianne/Duenna in “Der Rosenkavalier” at the Teatro Politeama Greco in Lecce.

She debuted as Gretel in “Hänsel und Gretel” at the Teatro Sociale Como, the Teatro Grande Brescia, the Teatro Franschini Pavia, the Teatro degli Arcimboldi Milano, the Teatro Ariosto Reggo Emilia, the Teatro Comunale Bologna, and the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi Trieste. In 2009, she performed Anna Kennedy in “Maria Stuarda” at the Teatro La Venice in Venice. In 2011, “Maria Stuarda” was released as a DVD.  Çakar has received international acclaim for her performance of Gilda in “Rigoletto” at the 2008 Musica Riva Festival, and of Fanny in “la Cambiale di Matrimonio” at the 58th Wexford Festival in 2009. In 2010, she sang “Eine Funfzehnjahrige” in the Teatro alla Scala production of Alban Berg’s “Lulu” under the baton of Daniele Gatti. This work was staged again at the Theater an der Wien for the Vienna Festival. Çakar gave a gala concert at the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi Trieste in 2009. She attended as a guest artist at the 36th Della Valle D’Ittria di Martina Franca Festival, Kosovo DAM Music Festival and Musica Riva Festival.

Çakar has participated in many competitions and received many awards. In 2008-2009, she became a finalist in the 60th As.Li.Co. Opera competition.  In 2010, she won third prize in the 6th Leyla Gencer Opera competition in Istanbul, the second prize in the 11th International Marie Karaja Opera Festival Competition in Tirana. She received second prize in the 4th Magda Olivero Singing Competition in Milano. Çakar won the first prize and the special prize in the New York Lotte Lehmann Foundation for the best female voice at the 28th International Maria Caniglia Singing Competition in 2011. She was awarded the first prizes both at the second Primo Palcoscenico Competition in Cesena and at the third Giovanni Pacini Competition for her performance of Gilda (Rigoletto). She was given the role at the Teatro Civico de la Spezia and Teatro A. Bonci di Cesena as an award.

Çakar sang at the Saint Petersburg Oktiabrsky Hall and Moscow’s Kremlin Palace with respectively the Saint Petersburg Symphony and Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2012, she sang as a soloist in the concert of Çellistanbul at the Aya Irini in the 40th Istanbul Music Festival.
