Sarp Maden is one of the more well known jazz guitarists in Turkey. In 1997, he founded trio-mrio with Volkan Öktem and Çağlayan Yıldız and released the album in 1998. In 2003, with the participation of Genco Arı in the group, they changed the group name to “Quartet Muartet”. In 2004, they released their first album “Dokuz Parça.” Maden has also worked in many band projects such as Lodos & Acid Trippin, Can Kozlu, Ricky For, Jazzistance, Neşet Ruacan, Önder Focan, Nilüfer Verdi, Oğuz Büyükberber, Erkan Oğur, Mike Wilkins, and Bülent Ortaçgil. Maden has released a solo album titled “Bence.” He also taught guitar and harmony at the Academy Istanbul. He has participated in numerous jazz festivals in Turkey. In 2010, Maden released his second solo album “Ardından”.
