Nazlı Avcı was born in Sivas in 1988. With a full scholarship, she received Bilkent University MSSD secondary education and studied violin with Elif Enacar Baykal, Toğrul Ganioğlu, and Muhammedjan Turdiev. Avcı was selected to join Igor Oistrakh’s master class on the occasion of IKSEV 2004. She has performed with many orchestras such as the World Youth Orchestra, the National Youth Orchestra, the Ankara Philharmonic Orchestra, the IKSEV Chamber Orchestra, the Bilkent Youth Symphony Orchestra (2007-2010), and the Greek Turkish Youth Orchestra (2008-2010). In 2009 Avcı performed Max Bruch′s violin concerto as a solo with the Bilkent Youth Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed contemporary music of renowned composers including Stephan Hartke, Onur Türkmen, Özkan Manav, and Turgut Pöğün.

Avcı entered the class of Barbara Gorzynska at Vienna Prayner Conservatory after graduating from Bilkent University in 2010. She then joined Cyrus Forough′s class at Pittsburgh Carnegie Mellon University with a full scholarship. Since 2011 Avcı has continued performing in the Eskişehir Municipality Symphony Orchestra, where she has served as assistant concertmaster since 2012. Avcı currently pursues her Master′s degree with Ellen Jewet at Ankara University State Conservatory.
