Orçun Yıldıran was born in Balıkesir in 1994. He started learning the piano from Meral Dündar in 2004. In the same year, he entered the Piano Department in the State Conservatory of Istanbul University and studied with Zeynep Yurdakul. In 2005, Yıldıran pursued his study with Assoc. Prof. Hülya Barut at the State Conservatory of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. He has participated in various piano competitions and received many awards. In 2008, Yıldıran received the second award in the National Piano Competition, which was organized by Trakya University. In the following year, he won the third award in the International Youth Musician Piano Competition in Sofia, and the first prize in the International Piano Competition, which was held among the Pera Music Festival. In 2013, Yıldıran received the first prize in the National Piano Competition, which was held by Süreyya Opera; and he performed J. Haydn′s D major Piano Concerto and Bach′s Piano Concerto. He attended many master classes of prominent artists such as Prof. Milena Mollova, Giselle Brodsky, Misha Dacic, Ragna Schirmer, Christian Wilde Müller, Jean Bernard Pommier, Valentin Surif, Peter Coss, Makoto Ueno, Gülsin Onay, and Birsen Ulucan. Yıldıran has also given many piano recitals. He currently studies with Prof. Claudius Tanski at Universitat Mozarteum Salzburg Music School in Austria.
