Nalan Altınörs was born in Ankara in 1961. She studied in Ankara and Izmir. After her success in the All-Turkey auditions, which was organized by TRT in 1981, she studied Turkish music theory with Ferit Sıdal, repertoire with Kutlu Payaslı, and solfeggio with Yılmaz Yüksel and Ahmet Hatipoğlu for two years. In 1983, Altınörs started working as a singer at the Izmir Radio. She has left her position in the radio in 1992, and began her career as a free lance soloist. Altınörs has a numerous repertoire including the neo-classical Turkish music composers such as Sadettin Kaynak, Selahattin Pınar, Dramalı Hasan, Şükrü Tunar, Yesari Asım Arsoy and Avni Anıl. Altınörs has released 7 albums, and has had many concerts in Turkey and abroad.
