Melisa Uzunarslan graduated from the State Conservatory of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, where she studied with Prof. Gönül Gökdoğan, Prof. Çiğdem İyicil, and Prof. Hasan Uçarsu, and had double major in Violin and Composition in 2006. She completed her master′s degree in violin at her alma mater. Uzunarslan has attended many master classes and workshops including Ayvalık International Music Academy (2003, 2004, and 2005) and Apple Hill String Quartet Master Class. She has performed with famous soloists such as Fazıl Say, Maxim Vengerov, Alexander Markov, and Lang Lang with many orchestras and quartets including Camerata Saygun, Cemral Reşit Rey Symphonic Orchestra, Istanbul Chamber Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra, Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, Sueno Quartet, and Trio Libeto. In addition to Classical music, Uzunarslan performs and arranges music for pop singers such as Teoman, Sertab Erener, and Sezen Aksu. Uzunarslan currently lives and works in Istanbul.
