Melih Kara

Melih Kara graduated from Hacettepe University State Conservatory in 1991. He continued his master’s degree at Anadolu University State Conservatory with Azerbaijan State Artist Yuri Abdullaev in 1991-1993. In 1993, Kara was accepted to the Geneva Conservatory and studied with Prof. Daniel Grosgurin. He graduated from Virtuosite class in 1996, winning the first prize as well as the Pierre Fernex special prize. Kara participated in the master class of Mstislav Rostropovich, Janos Starker and Marcio Carneiro. Currently, Kara works as a lecturer at Anadolu University State Conservatory and plays as a member of Çellistanbul.
