Yüksel Dural started playing piano at the age of five. She continued her piano education with Prof. Dr. Rene Back in Vienna and gave a concert when she was thirteen. After graduating from the Julliard Conservatory in the US, Dural studied composition and participated in many song contests. Dural has performed at various national and international venues. She has received over 200 awards of merit including Queen Elizabeth Award and Clinton Award. She won the South Achievement Pacific Award of Merit in 1996 and 1997. In 1998, she won the Hollywood Unisong Certificate of Achievement and entered the Music Bridge. In the same year, she represented Turkey in the Song Contest, which was held in Cuba. She received an honorable plaque for her composition “Robin Hood”. Her composition “Funeral Marche” has been broadcasted on BBC radios.  Dural is the director of the Rhapsody Chamber Orchestra. She works at M. N. G. Primo and gives piano lessons. She was awarded as a successful piano tutor by the British Musician Union. After she returned to Turkey, Dural composed “Marche Famebre” for Atatürk and the martyrs of the Republic of Turkey. In 2007, it was premiered by the Military Department of Land Forces on the Anniversary of 18 March Çanakkale Martyrs Day. Dural was recently awarded the title ‘Distinguished Pianist’ by a multinational jury at the IBLA Grand Prize Competition in Italy. Currently, she is in the process of composing new pieces for future concerts.
