Kevser Ruhi

Kevser Ruhi was born in Gönen in 1961. She finished primary and middle school in Gönen and teacher training college for girls in Tekirdağ. In 1983 she graduated from the Department of French Language and Literature at Hacettepe University. Since 1984 she worked at the General Directorate of TEDAŞ, AR-GE planning, coordination and external relations Department.
Ruhi participated in seminars of creative writing and scenario writing at the UMAG Uğur Mumcu Research Journalism Foundation, and continued to learn writing at the Creative Writer Workshop in Kum Magazine. In 2005 Ruhi was awarded Jury Special Prize with her first story book “Kehribar Kadınlar” by Kocaeli Higher Education Association in a story competition, which was organized in memory of Naci Girginsoy. In 2009 she received the Orhan Kemal Story Award with her book "Saçları Deli Çoruh" from the Çukurova Association of Men of Letters.
