Assoc. Prof. Ozan Bilgiseren

Assoc. Prof. Ozan Bilgiseren was born in 1969. While studying computer programming, he had an interest in photography. He then entered Mimar Sinan University and studied photography. Bilgiseren had lots of chances to work on and experience different photographic opportunities both in the artistic and professional fields. He worked as a staff photographer of a monthly interior design & life style magazine "Vizyon"; and as a first assistant of some national/foreign photographers and their photography sessions. He was also involved in photography of commercial films (Tara Production). In the mid 90′s, Bilgiseren decided to become an academic staff. He completed his doctoral degree, proficiency in Arts at his alma mater in 2004. He also worked as a photo editor of a life-style magazine “Akademist” for 2 years. He has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad, and received some awards in many national and international photographic contests.
Bilgiseren has written articles for periodic Turkish photography magazines such as Fotoğraf Dergisi, F:Dergisi, and Photo Digital. He has also worked as an expert of judicial lawsuits on related judicial issues whenever court calls. Bilgiseren currently continues to work as a faculty member of Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts in Istanbul.
