Metehan Özcan was born in Istanbul in 1975. After studying architecture at St. Louis University from 1993 to 1995, he graduated from the Department of Interior Design at Bilkent University in 2000. He completed his master′s degree in Visual Communication Design at Bilgi University in 2012. Özcan is interested in traces of daily life, which reveal the alienation of people and their surroundings, questioning space and existence. Özcan has had several solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Currently, he lives and works in Izmir.
