Mehmet Ünal (photographer)

Mehmet Ünal was born in Çanakkale in 1951. He worked numerous different jobs until 1969. In 1969 he joined an acting course. Before moving to Germany in 1976, he worked as an actor at different theatres in Istanbul. Since 1977, Ünal has been working as a freelance photographer and journalist for various German and Turkish magazines and newspapers. He has exhibited his photographs and received many awards. His photographs have been published in numerous photo magazines. Ünal currently lives and works in Mannheim, Germany.
