Mehmet Kaçmaz

Mehmet Kaçmaz was born in Ünye, a district of Ordu Province in the Black Sea region in 1978. He graduated from the Department of Public Relations and Advertising in the Faculty of Communication at Istanbul University. After the 1999 Kocaeli earthquake, he volunteered for the Photographer Children Workshop Project. In the same year, Kacmaz taught basic photography at the Fuji-Fotoğrafevi. From 2000 to 2001, he lectured on basic and advanced photography in Fototrek. Kaçmaz is one of the founders of Photography Foundation in Istanbul. He currently works as a freelance photographer and gives a photo-essay workshop at the Photography Foundation in Istanbul.
