İsa Çelik

İsa Çelik was born in Mersin in 1944. He graduated from the Ankara Academy of Economics and Commercial Sciences in 1970. He started in photography in 1958. His photographic works have been published in many posters, books, plaques, cassettes, and CD covers. He has also shown his photographs as slide shows in theaters. He received the title “Artist of FIAP. Çelik has participated in numerous international group exhibitions, competitions and biennials. He has served as a selected jury member in the Antalya Altın Portakal Film Festival, Adana Altın Koza Film Festival, and Ankara Film Festival. He gave a class “Basic of Photography” at Bilgi University. Çelik has served as a president in the Visual Artist Association (GSD); a board member in the PERSAİŞ; and a member of advisory board for the establishment of a photography institute at Mimar Sinan University. He is a member of IFSAK, PETD, Nazım Hikmet Culture and Art Foundation, and Uğur Mumcu Foundation for Researcher and Journalist. Currently, Çelik works as a lecturer at the Vocational School of Istanbul Culture University.
