Erdal Yazıcı

Erdal Yazıcı was born in Ağın, Elazığ in 1953. He graduated from the Faculty of Education at Anadolu University. He started taking photographs in 1983. His first photo-interview was published in Günaydın daily newspaper. Since then his work has been published in various newspapers and magazines such as Cumhuriyet daily newspaper, Atlas, Gezi National Traveler and Voyager magazine. He has held nine solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey. Yazıcı has also taken many documentary projects and published them as books such as "Bir Yaprak Dölümü Öyküsü" and "Yarınımız Unudumuz Çocuklar." He shot a documentary series on silkworm in Bursa from 1992 to 2000 and published several photo albums including "Son Yüzler." Yazıcı has also published other photo albums such as "Çocuk Dünyam" and "Türk Fotoğrafçıları Kütüphanesi." He currently continues his work in Istanbul.
