Cengiz Karlıova

Cengiz Karlıova was born in Istanbul in 1954. He started taking photography in his childhood. Since 1972, he has worked as a photographer at his own studio. In 1984, Karlıova served as one of the founders for creating the Diatek Diapozitif Center. He has had many solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. He has also served as a jury member in many photography competitions. In 1982, Karlıova was invited to Bulgaria by the Bulgarian Photography Federation and participated in photography activities. His photographs have appeared in many national and international publications. His works can be seen in the Istanbul Modern Museum. In 2006, Karlıova published "Türk Fotoğrafçıları Kütüphanesi 37 / Turkish Photographers′ Library 37" (Istanbul: Anatartist, 2006). He is one of the founders of the Fotogen Photography Association. He is a member of AFIAP, and an honorable member of IFSAK.
