Cemil Batur Gökçeer

Cemil Batur Gökçeer was born in Ankara in 1981. He graduated from the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Bilkent University. Gökçeer is self-educated in photography. He has attended several international educational programs such as the Reflexions Masterclass and European Borderlines Project of ISSP. He has participated in group exhibitions at several prominent national and international institutions and museums including the Istanbul Modern Museum. His work has been published in national and international magazines. Gökçeer was selected for World Press Photo’s Joop Swart Masterclass in 2012. He is one of the founders of Torun, an independent artist initiative and art space in Ankara. Gökçeer currently continues his work in Ankara.
