Pelin Uran was born in 1974. She worked as an assistant curator for the retrospective exhibition of Erol Akyabaş before her going to the US. After completing her study at Bard College Center for Curatorial Studies in 2005, Uran worked at the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Torino. She has curated many exhibitions such as “If it is not love, it is the bomb” (Bard College), “An Artist Who Cannot Speak English is No Artist” (New York Artists Space), and “A Forest and a Tree” (New York Newbourg, 2005), which has traveled to Kunsthalle Exnergasse in Vienna in 2007. She worked as a co-curator for the night program “Nightcomers” in the 10th Istanbul Biennial in 2007. Uran has written articles in magazine “Uovo” Contemporary Art Magazine and online contemporary art site “Might Be Good”. She has also written for the project “Speech” in the “A Constructed World”. Currently, she lives and works in Istanbul.
