Ayten Timuroğlu

Ayten Timuroğlu was born in Ankara in 1941. After working in banking sector for a while, she began painting in Sanat yapım - Kayıkan Keskinok Workshop in 1985. In the beginning of her career, she was affected by classicism, impressionism and cubism. Since 1991, Timuroğlu has continued to work in her own workshop.  Working women in rural areas is the main theme of her recent works. Her paintings can be seen in various collections in Turkey and abroad including the collection of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Timuroğlu has had 21 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions. Timuroğlu is a member of the Ankara Women Painters Association and the Group 16.
