Özgül Arslan was born in Erzincan in 1974. She graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 1998. In the same year, she worked as an assistant of Mehmet Gün. She has attended several workshops in Istanbul. Since 1997, Arslan has worked in many exhibition organizations. In 2010, she curated the exhibition “Contemporary Art for Children”. She has had two solo exhibitions: “Analogy” (Gallery Dürer, 2001) and “20+1” (Gallery Mine, 2010). In 2012, she will have her third solo exhibition “Erased Traves” at Daire Art in Istanbul. She has also participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Currently, Arslan continues working in Istanbul.
