Mustafa Horasan

Mustafa Horasan was born in Aydın, Karacasu in 1965. He graduated from the Graphic Department in the Fine Arts Faculty at Marmara University in 1986. The same year, he exhibited his work in the State Painting and Sculpture Exhibition. He held his first solo exhibition at the Iş Art Gallery in Izmir in 1988. Since then, Horasan has exhibited his art works in Turkey, Germany, France, Holland, Spain, America, and Italy. He creates his works using a wide range of media including ink, printmaking, photography and oil painting. He is best known for his large-scale and multi-layered oil paintings, which are highly textured with intricate filigree patterns. Horasan has received more than 13 awards. His works can be seen many private and museum collections throughout the world. Horasan currently teaches at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Yeditepe University.
