Mehmet Çağçağ was born in Şebinkarahisar, Giresun in 1959. He finished at Şebinkarahisar İstiklal primary school. He studied art at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Mimar Sinan University. He started drawing caricatures during university, and his caricatures were published in Gırgır and Fırt magazines. He worked with Oğuz Aral and Tekin Aral for 5 years. Çağçağ has drawn caricatures on subjects such as slum houses, emigration, life in apartments, cultural crashes and urbanization. Later, he left Gırgır magazine and participated in the foundation of Limon magazine with some caricaturists. Çağçağ is one of the creators who made a school of Limon and Leman. Currently, he continues drawing for Leman and L-Manyak magazines. In addition, he also draws “Harala Gürele” comics for Leman magazine. Since 2009, Çağçağ has drawn caricature for Habertürk newspaper.
