İsmet Değirmenci

İsmet Değirmenci was born in the Marmara Island in 1964. He graduated from the Sculpture Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 1991. In 1994, he held his first solo painting exhibition "Island" at the Ortaköy Sculpture Workshop Gallery in Istanbul. Since then, Değirmenci has held many solo painting exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions. In 1995, he received an achievement award in the Esbank XII. Yunus Emre Painting Competition. Değirmenci has worked as a lecturer in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Yeditepe University since 2002.
