Ebru Döşekçi

Ebru Döşekçi graduated from the Faculty of Communication at Ege University in 1993 and received a master’s degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Yeditepe University in 2005. In her sculptures, she uses simple and clear lines, which gives the viewer a sense of tranquility. Rising above the surface as if they are about to fly with the next glimpse of motion, her creations challenge their viewers to become abstracted in an emotional, romantic, even melancholic state of mind. Since 2001, Döşekçi has participated in many group exhibitions, as well as art symposiums and workshops. She has received numerous awards in sculpture competitions in Turkey and abroad. With the sponsorship of the Turkish Cultural Foundation, Döşekçi exhibited her 9 works at Chicago Sofa Art Fair in 2009.
