Burcu Bulak

Burcu Bulak was born in Istanbul in 1985. She studied Interior Design in Boston, Massachusetts. She spent her childhood in Paris and grew up influenced by the arts and fashion of that city. Bulak emphasizes how today’s society has become passionate consumers of luxury goods. In her collage works, luxury brand names and luxury objects are blended and mixed with everyday consumer goods, reflecting the never ending desire and energy spent by the individual in pursuit of these items. Currently, Bulak lives and works in Istanbul.
