Ayşegül Sağbaş was born in Rize in 1976. She graduated from the Painting Department in the Education Faculty at Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University in 2004. She reflects the stories that she has lived and heard to her paintings. In 2006, Sağbaş participated in the Tüyap 16th Istanbul Art Fair. In the next year, she had her solo exhibition in the Academy’s Art Gallery; and participated in the workshop “SummArt Painters Campus 2007” in Moldova. In 2008, Sağbaş participated in the group exhibition at the Casa Dell’ Arte in Istanbul. She has received many awards for her art works. As of today, Sağbaş continues to work at her workshop in Istanbul.
